The ASCO PV system was put into commercial operation at the Vysotsk station

On Tuesday, August 17, the ASCO PV system was put into commercial operation at the Vysotsk station, which is necessary for monitoring rolling stock for detecting commercial malfunctions, namely the remnants of previously transported goods. The system was implemented as part of a large-scale modernization of the station, aimed at significantly increasing the processing capacity of the port.
ASKO PV is a universal gate installed near the border of the non-public track of the Port of Vysotsky LLC to control the quality of the cars displayed from the port after unloading. Several video cameras are mounted on this gate with a crossbar on top, which inspect the cars from all sides: two cameras on top for a long and general view, two on each side to check the upper and sub-car spaces. A system for digitizing car numbers is also installed there – operators no longer need to waste time on routine operations for their recruitment.
The head of the Vysotsk station, Konstantin Kastornov, confirmed that the conditions of labor protection have significantly improved with ASCO PV and the time spent on inspection of rolling stock cars in commercial terms has been reduced.
At the end of 2020, the first stage of reconstruction was completed at the Vysotsk station: all five tracks were extended from 52 to 75 conventional cars, two additional tracks were built to receive trains with a length of up to 75 conventional cars. A new EC post has been built, all the "arrows" are centralized, because all the switches have become automatic, the contact network has been modernized.

Vysotsk station has overtaken the port in terms of its renewal rates, the terminals of which are being reconstructed: stevedores are moving away from coal and preparing capacities for other, environmentally friendly cargo nomenclatures, for example, grain and pellets. "The Oktyabrskaya Road has a partner, this is Tehnotrans LLC, which has decided to join the Vysotsk station. They have passed the examination of their grain terminal project and have started construction: the Russian Railways will most likely start working with this partner next year, " Konstantin Kastornov said.

ASCO PV will make it possible to accelerate the processing of cargo traffic: the current volume of traffic in the direction of the port of Vysotsk is 14 million tons per year, but in 2025 the promising indicators will exceed 42 million tons in annual terms.
